22 Oct

After a few days at the beach last week, I am trying to get back to the swing of life…you know the mundane stressful messygloriousness of everyday life!  But, this week will be another swing by the seat of your pants week…I am having surgery on Thursday, and the kids will be with my parents for a few nights.

Monday: Chicken Piccata with a take on Carraba’s sauteed zucchini w/ tomatoes

Tuesday: Chicken w/ Brie, steamed green beans, and bread

Wednesday – Friday:  Surgery and recovery

Friday evening, Saturday evening:  Lasagna, garlic bread

Sunday:  “wing it day!”

Another Wednesday means another Works For Me Wednesday sponsored by Rocks In My Dryer, one of my favorite blogs to read!

This week, I’m going to share something that I learned about from one of my dear friends…who happens to be a “germaphobe”!!  I, on the other hand, am not a germaphobe.

We got us a puppy back in June.  A lovely little Chihuahua (chi-hu-uh-hu-ua) named Peanut Butter.

Girly Girl & Peanut Butter

Well, being a puppy, he is not potty trained…so, we have a few uh-ohs we have to get rid of.  When that happens, I pull out the trusty ole ODO-BAN.  It eliminates odors and kills germs (for those of you who are germaphobes!).  It has saved us from many a yucky smell!!!

Field Trip Days!

9 Oct

Cornerstone Classical Christian Academy’s 1st grade class went on its first field trip of the year this past week.  It was a wonderful time for the moms, teacher and especially the kids!  They talked about animals and God’s creation!!  They have a report due in the next week — each child was given an animal to research and write a “report” on.  The teacher has given the kids pseudonyms, so I think it is only appropriate to use them in this post, and any upcoming posts…but, I’m giving the teacher one!!!  So, without further ado, let me introduce Cornerstone Classical Christian Academy’s 2007 – 2008 1st grade class.

I actually hesitated on doing Menu Planning this week, because we will not be eating at home for most of the week, but the two days we will be, I need to plan for…so, here it goes!

Monday:  Breakfast for dinner (eggs, biscuits, possibly sausage or bacon)

Tuesday:  Baked chicken and veggies

Wednesday – Friday:  Not eating at home!!!

Y’all have a great week, sorry for the lame menu this week!
