Today is the day. The day we exercise our rights as Americans to choose “the next leader of the free world”. I have tried to not voice my opinions too loudly outside of my family and friends, which means that you have seen just a few posts about this presidential race. I am not ashamed to say who I am voting for, because I believe in my vote…, but my real faith, my trust, my strength and steadfastness lies outside of the political arena. I am resting in the knowledge that my Father, my Lord and Savior has already determined the outcome of this election….and that following His Word, I will pray for our leaders — I will obey the laws of our nation — and I will, according to Phillipians 2:14
Do all things without grumbling or questioning
1 Timothy 2:1-3
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; he turns it wherever he will.
God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.
